A growl rumbled quietly in the brute's chest. "Like a father? I apologize, but I'm afraid I do not know what that would be like..." His mind turned to the past. And he felt a dizziness threaten him, but instead pushed it away, forcing himself to once again focus on the female and her words.
"You think you are the only one that has mutilated a life? Taken away the joy from another? Turned the morning sun not into something they look forward to, but something they weep at when they see, knowing there is another day just like the last, full of pain? I've done it too Megumi, as have many others. You are far from the worst, and I never understood why you strive to reach the top of the ladder of pain. You do not want to, so why not let go and let yourself slide back to the bottom? I've seen you there...I've seen you as beautiful, as caring...as mine."
Child of Frost shook his head slowly. "You really think it would be so much better to be a flower, then?" He shifted his weight, taking a step closer, so that he could feel his breath tangling in Megumi's fur when he spoke. "You wish to save me, to take away the pain and protect me? Then go, make me a flower. Turn my body into the soil that will again birth new life."
He raised his head, and turned his muzzle to the side, exposing his neck, a wicked smirk on his face. "You should know by now that I will never leave you. I have only ever loved you, and that is the way it will be until the day I die. So if you think this life will bring nothing but pain, and that you are the cause, then redeem yourself by putting an end to it."
