Everyone is in the light and smiling.
Even wolvie looks happy.
Wonderman is dark and angry. He doesnt appear
to be at the party and his frame is smaller
than all the others.
I wonder if they are even going to address him getting out of jail. Or the fact he tried to
do something about Osborne while the others
waited until he went really crazy.

: Another thing that doesn't makes me believe
: Bendis has the best interest for Wonder Man
: is that I read somewhere that he wanted to
: use Wondy as a skrull. If you think back,
: the disapearance of the ionic look and the
: coming back with the leisure suit all fit if
: Simon had been a skrull. For some reason he
: changed his mind.
:
: I really don't know what to think. He
: brought the character back since The House
: of M but then he writes a story where
: Hawkeye is the one who finds Wanda. I have
: always thought that story would have been so
: much stronger if it had been Simon instead
: of Hawkeye.

: It's funny you said this:
: "If so, I think I may stop buying
: Avengers for the first time in almost thirty
: years."
: I am a huge Avengers/Wonderman fan and the
: day I walked away from Marvel comics was
: Force Works #1.
: They killed Wonderman and I said
: "That's it."
: I came back for the Perez/Busiek and left
: again when they did not seem to know what to
: do with him.
:
: I keep seeing teasers about bendis doing
: something with Wonderman and then nothing.
:
: Things like this that went nowhere:

: Or maybe he meant that his legacy is he
: started a villain?

: Yeah, after reading the preview, I do not
: think it is an alternate reality Simon. And
: honestly, I think that does not bode very
: well for the character at all. I think this
: may be a final trip over to Villainville for
: our hero. And seriously - what a waste.
: AND how completely out of character. Is
: this going to be the "I told all of you
: that guy was a crook on national television
: and none of you listened to me and now I'm
: super pissed and going to start attacking
: all of you for no real reason"
: storyline? If so, I think I may stop buying
: Avengers for the first time in almost thirty
: years. I know that the character has been
: very difficult for some writers to take on -
: if that's the case, just don't use him.
: Create a new villain. I'm pretty tired of
: WM being treated like a fourth-rate
: character with absolutely no personality.
: Go back and read WCA or Busiek's volume
: three of Avengers - then you'll see what
: happens - great characterization, personal
: stories, not this bullsh*t. Lethal Legion?
: Seriously? Completely out of character.
: Simon not busting out of jail to help at
: Asgard? Bullsh*t. Sorry, I'm ranting but I
: just feel like I see where this is going and
: it isn't going anywhere good for the boy.
:
: My two cents.

: Since Wonder Man seems to be having issues
: with Pym, he's probably confronting him
: about the Wasp(since Simon and Jan were
: close). Perhaps with the loss of Jan, his
: brother(since Wondy thinks Eric is dead)and
: Wanda going AWOL, Wonder Man finally snaps.
: Or, with Bendis wanting to do more damage to
: the character, Wondy is having a giant hissy
: fit because nobody asked him to join any of
: the Avengers' teams.
:
: But it still could be an alternate Wonder
: Man. With the long hair and jetpacks on the
: belt(looking a lot like the John Byrne era
: Wondy)and with Kang looming on the horizon,
: perhaps this is an alternate who doesn't
: want to go back to his own timeline.
