: Yes, that is how I always looked at it,
: myself. Energy can't be destroyed only
: dispersed. If Simon is composed of ionic
: energy, then it was just a matter of time
: before he "pulled" himself
: together...Wanda merely hastened the
: process. I only threw the alternate Wonder
: Man theory out there because I know Bendis
: hated how Wanda brought Simon back and
: thought he may want to explain away Busiek's
: take.

: Yeah, I never liked the explanation that it
: was "love" that allowed Wonder Man
: to come back. I thought it made much more
: sense to consider Wonder Man's powers at the
: end of his solo series, and think that he
: never really fully died in the explosion in
: Force Works #1, but that his energy form was
: scattered, and Wanda was just able to
: collect the energy fragments and reconstruct
: Wonder Man. What do you guys think about
: that theory?

Yeah, I always thought he should be able to pull himself together after time anyway. I liked the exra abilities he was showing in the mid 20's of his own book though, so this would fit.
I have a feeling that this may turn out to be an alternate reality or time displaced Simon, in which case, where is the real one...... That said, I am quite happy for it to be the real Simon, and it is about time that not everyone jumped at what Cap and Tony have to say.
On another point, the artwork sucks. I know he has the ionic glow, but underneath it now he looks like he is grey.
