Hello everyone, I just wanted to give an update on my mom. If you know her, you know she is determined to gain a full recovery after her stroke and get back to her healthy happy self. She is walking, talking and working hard to regain all strength and muscle on her right side. My sisters and I are all back home now, but she is in good hands with her local Moloka’i and Honolulu doctors. The stroke that she suffered was a hemorrhagic stroke causing bleeding in the brain. Her most recent CT scan showed no sign of the bleeding and most importantly no new bleed. She is working hard to get all the help she can to make a full recovery and get back to her gardening and art. Myself, my sisters and the entire Cox and extended family cannot thank you all enough. The outpour of love and support was overwhelming and felt deeply by us all. From the cards, letters, texts, DMs, late night calls, hugs to the donations and fundraisers and financial help. We couldn’t have done it without you. We are so greatly thankful for our friends, family and community. Thank you to Lori and Terry at AC for putting out a donation can and thank you to Jamie Lee for hosting an Indian taco night and to all that enjoyed her delicious cooking. We can never thank you enough. Sending love and gratitude to all. If you’d like to reach out to her, she receives mail at: Cynthia Kalfas-Cox PO Box 757 Kaunakakai, HI 96748
