It's a pretty relaxed, laid back job... you get to play music, take requests and entertain listeners while reading the weather and messages people depend on us for. I may be a nerd, but being a part of KSKO 's nearly 45 year history is kinda cool...
You don't need any prior time at KSKO or any other station... just be comfortable around technology. We'll train you and get you comfortable behind the controls.
I've been off air for 3 weeks with illness or no voice and I feel awful about that but it's the reality of being sick and the only full time announcer. We have one or two other fill ins but because of life and other commitments they arent always available, which is totally understandable.
If you've ever thought about being on the radio, thought it might be fun, are curious.. whatever... come and talk to me. No obligation or commitment.. I understand being on the air can be intimidating for alot of people.
