Some of you have been asking about science and culture camp this summer and I'm sad to report that I won't be able to have one due to budget cut backs and significant cuts including staffing.

US Fish and Wildlife has taken a significant restructuring turn and we've lost about 60 staff in Alaska the past months due to reduction in force efforts initiated by the incoming administration.

For the many of you who have participated in past camps, you know how much I love to do them and I appreciate all the volunteer and paid staff efforts from the community, plus the support from our valued partners like MNVC, DNR, ADFG, and basically all the agencies in McGrath.
