The Lower Kuskokwim (Sleetmute, Crooked Creek) does not have a high wind warning or advisory in place, winds started picking up around 3 to 4am and sustained winds are typically in the teens with gusts in the 20s but sustained winds in lower 20s, gusting to the mid 30s have been recorded as of 8am.
The Lower Yukon is under a High Wind Warning until 7am Monday, with winds south 30 to 40mph, gusting to about 60mph Winds started oucjubg up there about 2 or 3 am as well and as of 8AM, theyve seen wind gusts as high as 48mph.
The Upper Kuskokwim is under a wind advisory until 1am Monday, with winds south 20 to 30 gusting to 40mph being possible. However, we cant tell you what winds actualyl are in McGrath with the automated weather observation system at the airport not functionin. Though, personal observation would seem to suggest that gusts may be slightly above whats forecast.
All of us in KSKO Country can expect temps in the mid 40s or so tomorrow with lows near the mid 30s.
