🌡 Temps & Precip
We’ll stay fairly warm for this time of year:
20s on Monday and Tuesday
Low 30s on Wednesday
Because of those temps, we’re sitting right on the edge between snow, freezing rain, and plain rain.
❄️ Snow & Ice Totals
Here’s what’s expected:
Sunday & Monday: Light snow, about 1–2 inches
Monday night → Wednesday morning: Heavier round, 3–7 inches of snow
Ice: About 0.10" to 0.20" of ice possible
The ice is the bigger concern — even a small amount can make everything slick, wether you're driving or walking
🌬 Temperature Drop
After the storm moves out, temps drop sharply Wednesday night, with lows near zero. By Friday night, both our highs and lows will be below zero again.
📍 Sleetmute, Crooked Creek & Red Devil
Those communities are under a Winter Storm Watch until Tuesday. Forecast totals there are much lighter — maybe 1–2 inches of snow and up to 0.20" of ice, nowhere near what’s expected for the Upper Kuskokwim and GASH areas.
👍 Bottom Line
This doesn’t look like a dangerous, high-impact storm — but with freezing rain possible and our winter so far being pretty mild, it’s worth staying aware and giving yourself extra time on the roads, runways, or trails.
