Researchers with the Alaska Center for Energy and Power from the University of Alaska Fairbanks are in McGrath this week. This is the second part of a river energy study requested by the City of McGrath to understand if water speeds are fast enough in the Kuskokwim River to generate electricity.
The UAF team is interested in hearing from people who fish for subsistence in the Kuskokwim River or who have concerns about fish related to river energy.
