
The Youth Advisor provides guidance for KRITFC’s fisheries management, research, monitoring, outreach, and advocacy work. Specifically, this non-voting position functions similarly to the Elder Advisor to guide KRITFC’s Commissioners, Executive Council members, and In-Season Managers to apply Indigenous Knowledge and values and the best available Western science to guide all KRITFC work. While not a paid position, honorariums are provided for meetings attended (in-person and virtual) and all travel costs to meetings and events attended as a KRITFC representative are covered.
Eligible applicants are between the ages of 18 and 24, live in Alaska, and are an enrolled citizen of a federally recognized Tribe of the Kuskokwim watershed.
Applications are being accepted through March 25, 2026, or until filled.
