Alaska Air Transit's (AAT's) fuel prices have nearly doubled since the war in Iran began on February 28th, and AAT can no longer absorb these costs.  Effective Monday, April 13th, AAT will implement a 10% fuel surcharge on all seat fare tickets and freight shipments.  

McGrath is subsidized by the US DOT Essential Air Service (EAS) Program, however, the US DOT will not offset the increased fuel prices. Instead, it expects air carriers to raise customer ticket and freight pricing to cover increased fuel costs.  

Our team is sensitive to how increased fuel prices impact every family's finances, especially those living in village communities.  Our team remains hopeful that fuel prices will eventually ease so we can remove this fuel surcharge.
