I was sitting at my local park, doing my “nerd thing” while watching the service… which I Roger would’ve been ok with and found fitting…. cuse that’s what I was often doing or heading off to do when I’d stop to talk to Roger and Lilly.
Father Falsey said something about Roger that I wholeheartedly agree with… Roger was always positive.
We had so much conversations in 5 1/2 years along the side of the road as he and Lilly were on a walk. They’d always make time fit even a quick chat no matter what.
Roger was one of the people who always made me feel like I belonged…. he didn’t treat me as a newbie to McGrath even though I clearly was.
He absolutely loved life, as Father said during the service.
He also made sure to let me know he appreciated my efforts with KSKO.. especially when he thought I needed to hear it.
Lilly, I wish I was there to give you a big hug and on a warm sunny day, for a walk.
Lilly, you have my heartfelt blessings and prayers for the road ahead.
Roger, I’ll miss you.
