
I'm not replying to this because of being interested in the position. I understand that there has been a hard time filling it in the past - and a big reason for that has been the amount of grief the person in the position will catch from the community. Everything is fine with enforcement until its "their dog". 3 Questions that come to mind right away:
1. Salary. Not listed. This makes a difference given the amount of heat a person could catch.
2. Amount of expected hours.
3. What is the city going to do to make sure this person is protected from catching heat - because its a thankless job.
I've seen this issue in other villages. Honestly, this as an option is being nice. Many of those dogs vanish in other villages. Much easier for owners to keep their dogs on a chain or admit to themselves that they shouldn't own dogs.
