AAT has provided "above and beyond", safe, affordable and trusted frequent flights like no other airline in the past has ever provided McGrath.
Their safety record is supurb; both their pilots and choice of planes that they own and fly to MCG and other villages.
Their pilots are highly experienced, as well.
Like others have said, the benefits that many newcomers may not be aware of, is that they provide the resident rate provide to the IASD school district and Southcentral Foundation McGrath Regional Health Center employees coming to work short term. As well, for the Rural Veterinarian teams coming out to provide clinics, the transport of pets to and from Anchorage and at times even taking the pet to the Vet's clinic and back to AAT for the return flight. Plus, contributing toward community support of many events hss been so greatly appreciated.
These mentions are in addition to other specifics stated by others posting here.
Please... please speak up and state your preference for AAT ... the one airline historicalky providing very low resident seat fares, freight rates and capability for most things that we have need to be shipped. Obviously some enormous items need to come by barge or specially arranged air cargo services.
Please let those at the Regulatory Commission in Washintin D.C., making the decision on the EAS, the Essential Air Service provision for McGrath, Docket DOT-OST-2017-0108, know your choice is AAT.
The City Office and MNVC can guide you on how best to do that.
