Hi Roger -- I do hope you familiarize yourself with the Symphonic Mass. Lloyd could have very well named it his Thirteenth Symphony (which of course he did not, perhaps for superstitious reasons?), for in many ways it is indeed the pinnacle of his symphonic writing. No soloists -- just his typical late-Romantic orchestra and a big chorus. And the tunes! Top-drawer. We are fortunate to have a superb recording, conducted by Lloyd himself, which is rightly considered definitive. And best wishes to you, also!
