Göran Forsling's review of her recital album remarks on a certain shrillness and harshness in her top notes in tandem with weakness in her lower register. As I am sure Göran knows, the two are closely allied, as so few modern singers develop both registers sufficiently to avoid damaging muscular tensions and inadequate resonance at the two extremes of the voice. They need to listen to old school singers for proper models; Mr Opera posts revealing illustrations of both the problem and the solution on YouTube.
