throttled tenor, and as such ignored his recording. Others are equally free to ignore my taste and heed your recommendation. I would say, however, that no singer more strikingly typifies the antithesis of the "Kermit" style than the free, open lyric tenor of Fritz Wunderlich - and of course there was nothing wrong with his German diction!
