Ralph, I know what you mean. I've published two books of poetry, two books of literary criiticism, and a coauthored translation of a play. Despite my careful proofreading and the help of a good copy editor, none of these escaped error-free, though a couple came close.
As Marianne Moore put it in "The Pangolin": "Man, writing master to this world" nonetheless writes inscrutable nonsense and misspells "error with four r's.""
Hello again, Paul. As people say To err is humane. There is no one who did not make mistakes.But you can give your work for testing to familiar English teachers, they can help you with your problem. Or you can try to call some services that are specialized in such a business. For example some proofreading services ? I think you should try if you want to publish quality books. You will like it.Of course you will pay some money but they have reasonable prices, and you will be confident in your paper work.
