I love Donizetti but agree not all his operas are masterpieces.
Beverly Sills' "Three Tudor Queens" remain a remarkable achievement and wonderful legacy of her artistry.
I also like Edita Gruberova's Three Queens and cannot completely dismiss Elena Souliotis' Anna Bolena recording and Maria Callas' live performance.
The two Lucrezia Borgia complement each other as they use slightly different edition and like you I love them both with a slight preference for the Montserrat Caballé version.
Now some "wishful thinking" - a complete Linda di Chamounix with either Joan Sutherland, Beverly Sills or Anna Moffo would have been wonderful.
