Vaughan Williams' London symphony 1920 version
Posted by Stephen Barber on May 15, 2022, 1:51 pm
In his review of Goossens' recording of this version of the London symphony, the second of thee three versions, Mark Jordan says that the Goossens recording was one of only two ever made of this version. In recent years there have been two more: by Martin Yates (Dutton) and Martyn Brabbins (Hyperion). There is also a recording of the original 1914 version by Richard Hickox (Chandos).
