Of course, I do recognise that there are other great recordings, especially those involving Nilsson and Corelli, such as the live, 1961 Stokowski one from the Met and the 1965 studio recording by Molinari-Pradelli; I also love the 1960 Leinsdorf recording with Björling and Tebaldi - but in the end, I think the Mehta is special.
I didn't see Turandot represented yet. Others?
