Thanks, Paul. Whatever it is HDTT does, as with Pristine's remastering, it almost invariably enhances the original. I think the Leinsdorf recording is still a sleeper for some, although goodness knows we sing its praises often enough.

High Definition Tape Transfers has remastered this recording, and it sounds much better than the CD release that I have owned for a while. I completely agree with Lee Denham (and Ralph Moore) that this is the best Walküre in modern sound
