Zelenski and Noskowski Violin sonatas
Posted by David J Brown on March 11, 2024, 8:11 pm
Rob Challinor's enthusiastic review of the new Naxos recording by Bernadene Blaha and Laurence Kayaleh of these two Polish vioin sonatas by Żeleński and Noskowski reminded me that here in southern California we were lucky enough to hear them play the works in a local (free!) chamber music recital immediately before they made the recording. I reviewed the concert (https://www.laopus.com/2022/11/poles-not-so-far-apart-on-novembers.html)—and should just add that though I noted their omission of first movement exposition repeats in the concert, they are included on the disc.
