Like you, I fear that there will not be too many performances of Stanford's music in 2024 (apart from his church music), despite his centenary. However, his eloquent Stabat Mater was performed in King's College Chapel, Cambridge on Good Friday evening and broadcast live on BBC Radio 3. The same work will be performed at the end of July on the first evening of the Three Choirs Festival and later in the week the Festival will put on the first performance of 'Sonata for String Orchestra'. This is an arrangement by Jeremy Dibble of five movements from Stanford's string quartets (I know no more than that).
On the recording front, judging by a recent message on social media, I believe a disc of Stanford songs with orchestra is on the way. In addition, the first recording of the Te Deum Op 66 will shortly be released. I think this will be coupled with another premiere recording: the Elegiac Ode Op 21. Those two pieces were previewed last week when Stanford was BBC Radio 3's Composer of the Week.
