I think I agree with Ralph Moore about Poschner’s Bruckner (‘think’ because I haven’t heard many of them, only read reviews - haste is usually a mistake in Bruckner!) but I suspect the difference in timings in the outer movements of the Study Symphony (which I think is well worth hearing!) is presumably because Schaller observes the repeats in the outer movements and Poschner doesn’t – Simone Young's timings are very similar to those of Schaller though perhaps she takes more note of the 'molto vivace' in the first movement and brings it home in a minute less. And presumably for once Schaller has his foot harder on the pedal in the scherzo as both Young and Poschner take around half a minute more, as does Skrowaczewski.
