So old that I had no memory of having heard this performance and would have happily sworn I had not. This in itself is interesting since I have clear memories of many other recordings I reviewed at about the same time, whether or not I have listened to them since. As for the recording quality, since the Bernstein site (presumably not consultable online back in those days) seems unimpeachable, the question must be why a performance recorded in a famously good acoustic sounds so poor
