Wondering if anyone here has listened to the new Brahms Second with Piemontesi and Honeck?
I've long been a fan of Gilels, Freire, Fleisher, Pollini or Richter for this concerto, but after hearing this new one a couple of times, it's likely the one I'll be reaching for in the future.
If you've heard it, I'd love to know what you think about it, compared to your current favorites.
Yes I've been sampling initially, then was so impressed I've bought the download. I had a feeling I'd like it, as I really admire both artists and it's a lovely performance, starting with magical horn playing from the Leipzig Orchestra. I have many versions of this piece, with Richter,Gilels, Hough and many others as main favourites. This will definitley join them !
