Hello, Mr. Hedley. My name is Adrian Alegre, Im a novel conductor from Cuba and I was recently listening to a very peculiar version of psalm 43 "Richte mich, Gott by Felix Mendelssohn sung by the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir, under the conduction of Daniel Reuss. I also read your preview about the CD and the music and I just can say that I am amused and in love with that specific arrangment and sadly jump to the same conclusion of never being able to find that specific score. I came here with hope of getting some advice from you, because I want to be able to sing that arrangement with the choir I am conducting (we sung the original a few years ago and we loved the experience). I apologize for the inconveniences and greatly hope for your response. Please, forgive my english. Is not my first language. Sincerely...

Hello, Adrian, and thank you for getting touch. It’s a real pleasure to hear from you. Mendelssohn’s Richte mich, Gott is one of my favourite short choral pieces, and I’m very happy that you like it too. I always used the Breitkopf edition with my choirs, so I was surprised when I heard the Estonian Philharmonic Choir sing another version. I have done a little research and find that Carus publishes both versions. You will find the one the Estonians sing at https://www.carusmedia.com/images-intern/medien//40/4012540/4012540x.pdf. I hope this helps and if you need anything else just let me know. Very best wishes, William.
