Honeck favoured Braunfels (as also Franz Schmidt) during his years as chief conductor of the Swedish Radio Symphony 2001-2006. Jeanne d'Arc was performed in concert 31 August 2001 but not released on CD until 2010. Banse already was Jeanne and Norwegian Terje Stensvold Gilles de Rais. Most of the others were Swedes and excellent Swedish choruses participated. The Decca 2-CD box has libretto plus translation. According to the booklet it plays for 147 minutes compared to 135 for the new issue, if your review is correct, so maybe there is some difference to the edition? I was to the concert and found the recording excellent when it came out.
