Christopher Howell's Haydn symphony series makes for very interesting reading, and I'm glad he focuses on Marzendorfer's almost-forgotten complete set and various records made in the early LP days. I see Marzendorfer's set is available on Presto for less than $5 as a download! Talk about a bargain. Dorati's set has recently been reissued by Universal, but from what I gather is already sold out on many if not most websites? Shows you the demand that's still out there for that great series of recordings. Let's hope they print a few more copies!
