A wonderful new restoration of this performance popped up on YouTube's Private Reserve channel this morning. If you're a fan of the work, it's a "must hear", IMHO.
Levant, who was a close friend of Gershwin's, poured his heart and soul into this performance, as did Ormandy and the Philadelphia, who captured the jazz aspects of this work perfectly, to my ears.
