I also write articles. I just put another one on the Dissident Voice ("Always Romani, but Never a Gypsy") about an incident sometime back where the police were called on me for protesting a sign in a store. I come from a small town and don't know many Roma outside my family. In terms of violence though, in America, I don't think they acknowledge that we exist very much. Most people think we're Native Americans or Mexicans. They don't generally single us out, from what I've seen, so much for being Roma. But that's just my experience. I do know of some racially-motivated violence here, but it's sort've hushed up. I've been to Romania and Western Europe too. America isn't anything like them for Roma, probably because, again, most people don't ever meet any of us here. It's a big, big country, but there's only a million of us. That's very spread out. I'd like to see your articles. Are they in English?
