I am an American girl who has been trying to find her family in Italy. My Great-Great Grandfather Genaro Rao immigrated from Caccuri, Italy in the early 1900's. My mother tells me that he was a gypsy but that his family history was not written but spoken.

If you have any information about a family with the last name Rao (Rowe here in the states) please let me know. We wish to find out where we come from.

I've grown up all my life hearing that my family were gypsies from Italy, and I am desperately trying to find them.
