Davy Jones and his felow Monkees were a huge part of my childhood. My first album was "Here Come the Monkees". And, of course, there's a BW connection: many Monkees hits were written by our Cotillion friends, Boyce and Hart. Is it just me, or was Davy Jones 'way too young to die?"Witches are good! Witches are dear!"
I too was saddened by this. For those of us in our late 40's/early 50's, the Monkees were our version of the Beatles. I watched them every Saturday morning and still love to hear them being played on the radio. Another piece of our childhood is gone forever.
