...tonight ABC re-aired Episode #230: "How Not to Lose Your Head to King Henry VIII" Part 2 which originally aired September 22, 1971.
Four days later, executive producer Harry Ackerman wrote a letter to AM and presumably the rest of the cast informing of the ending of the show. Here is the letter that is from the archives that Charles Tranberg had access to for his AM biography I Love the Illusion.

Endora is so funny in this episode. She didn't get the memo about which century to dress for, though. That pointed hat and veil is more suited for the 15th century Flemish court than 16th century England.... Oh well, she was Endora!"Witches are good! Witches are dear!"

Maurine, I think the period episodes would have been improved if someone of your mastery had been consulted first! Sure, the liberties they took were all in fun, but it's still bad history.
Sadly, too much of what I know about bygone eras is stuff I picked up from TV fiction. I'm glad when you put us wise to the proper details, because it un-mis-educates me. It would be great if you'd put together a Harpies page that analyzes period episodes -- what they got right or wrong, fun side facts, etc. Wouldn't that be cool? "Sterbo... Vectra... Rangay... Zeem. You're about to have a dream. And, in the words of a wise philosopher, it's going to be a BEAUT!"

Yipes, I hope I'm not coming across as a spoil-sport. It's like bloopers for me--so much fun to catch. I've always been really into history and historical dress. Done a good bit of sewing, recreating costumes from movies for my daughter for Halloween.
A Harpies article would be very cool. I'll do it, if someone could help me with the graphics/illustration side of things! (Hint-hint?)"Witches are good! Witches are dear!"

Not a spoil sport -- fun and informative! I think a page from you would be a unanimously welcome addition. "Sterbo... Vectra... Rangay... Zeem. You're about to have a dream. And, in the words of a wise philosopher, it's going to be a BEAUT!"

Aw, y'all are the best! This has been a much-needed bright spot in a really difficult day of a difficult couple of months. Thanks for making me smile. I'll put this on my fun to-do list (as opposed to the NOT fun to-do list!)."Witches are good! Witches are dear!"
