OT, sort of: Got my book from Dr. Bombay today!!!

And the first thing I said after I opened it was "it's heavy" (think Endora in Dodo Birds)!
It looks SO incredibly awesome! I can't wait to dig in!!
Thanks so much Doc! It is obvious how much love & devotion you put into this project! As a grateful Bewitched fan, thank you so much!

HOORAY! My copy arrived today, and it's perfect timing, Doc, 'cause I'm sick in bed and this has really cheered me up. I love how it's just like reading Harpies--such a friendly, conversational tone to the whole thing. And you even found a place for your beloved Paula! I meant to start at the beginning and go straight through--and I probably will one of these days. But, as you suggest at the beginning, it's lots of fun just to read here and there. ("Oh, I love this episode! What did David say about it?")

Mostly, I am just SO PROUD of you. This is a tremendous amount of work, research, and love!

I haven't decided how I'm going to read my copy yet! I wanted to finish a mystery I've been reading before I started Doc's book. I JUST finished it, so now I'll start w/Doc's. I plan on reading about an ep & then watching the ep...but do I go from 1st season all the way in order to the end, or mix it up a bit?! Decisions, decisions!!

I know, I know! (BTW, I am feeling better, thank you!) I've hunted in the book for my favorite episodes and read the reviews of those first. Then I just started reading episodes randomly, and that was fun. I think this summer I'm going to start at the very beginning (a very good place to start!

) and watch and read, episode by episode. At least that's the plan!

Hi Dr. Bombay --

I just started reading your book... it came a day after my birthday (May 4th) in the mail. =) I loe it. Question: is there footage anywhere of the New Years Eve scene of the first season that you discussed w/ Sam & Darrin??? Also... have you ever seen that movie you discussed that had Dick York and featured someone wanting to play an actress who was cast in a first season episode?

That New Years scene, I have never seen it. Mark Simpson is on the look out for it.

Yes, that movie is "Crazy in Alabama" and I love it, and not just because it has BW in it. It's actually based on the book of the same name and in the book the actress appears on "The Beverly Hillbillies." It's pretty much the only movie I can stand Melanie Griffiths in.
