Great story/post Erin*!* As I've gotten older I so cherish the bed spreads and quilts hand made by not only my late great Nana but my still living Mom, who btw never stops creating something and always beautiful. One of the last things my Nana Crocheted was a black and red bedspread, (my favorite two colors together as a teen) She once joked that all the black made her go more blind LOL! She also knitted what some including me describe as somewhat ugly slippers and looked like cacoons on your feet and are wayyy too hot to wear but I keep them anyhoo.
