Just thought I would pass the word the "Inherit the Wind" is on tonight at 8 pm EST on Turner Classic Movies. Spencer Tracy is the star of the month on TCM. We all know our beloved Dick York is featured as well.
I watched this for the first time last night (I'm embarrassed to admit!). What an important movie for our time! The issues and arguments sounded as fresh as the nightly cable or radio talk shows! And so many BW faces! I was impressed, too, with what good company Dick York was keeping in this movie--Gene Kelly and Spencer Tracy.
Was it me,or does that romantic exchange with his fiancee, Rachel, near the beginning look an AWFUL lot like the best moment from "Aardvark"? "Witches are good! Witches are dear!"
Don't be embarrassed, Maurine! I was flipping channels & said "HEY! There's Darrin!" How could I not know about this movie! I'm a stay at home mom, just like Samantha!
