For those of you who haven't heard, Larry Hagman died November 23, 2012, at Medical City Dallas Hospital in Dallas, Texas from complications of the cancer. Although best known as J.R. Ewing on the hit show Dallas, for those of us who grew up in the 60s, Mr Hagman will forever be our Major Anthony Nelson. Rest in peace Mr. Hagman.

RIP. I just found out from Barbara Eden's profile on facebook. I wonder what will happen with the new Dallas show.

It will continue. The primary characters are the two sons, and their wives/girlfriends. Duffy, Hagman and Gray were brought in to fill the roles originally filled by Barbara Bel Geddes, Howard Keel and Jim Davis. The veteran cast wound up with more screentime than originally planned, due to Larry's health [then] permitting, and the writers were having a lot of fun with them.
The 1st season wrapped up with its intended goal of establishing John Ross fully in his father's image. I understand that Larry did do some more season 2 episodes earlier this year, before his health failed. I hope that the time was well-spent on the Cliff Barnes plot/cliffhanger/reveal.
