Dear BW fans, I know ,like me, you love the fact that Bewitched is now broadcast on LOGO. That being said, I know you will notice cuts to the original episode lengths, clearly done to make room for additional advertising. Such a shame considering some of the editing is quite abrupt. But, I suppose, some Bewitched is better than none at all.

MrMortimer, the editing is horrible. It makes the show almost unwatchable. Then, they run the same 5 commercials over and over again, so it's not like they have all these different ads they need to fit in. Also, they display even more ads right on the screen while the episode is running, which I find very distracting.
I used to have my DVR set to record BW on any channel but have since turned that option off. I'd rather not have my DVR filled up with chopped up, hacked up episodes of my favorite show.
I have a suggestion for them: If they can run 6 chopped up episodes in a 3 hour period and they must have all this extra advertising, why can't they just run 5 full length episodes in a 3 hour period. That way, they can have their extra ads and we can have a show that we can actually watch. It seems like a simple solution to me.

Get the show on DVD. Then you won't have to worry about "Cuts".

It's really not about whether or not you can watch it on DVD. It's about networks presenting a show that's enjoyable and watchable for everyone. If the BW legacy is to survive and flourish, I would think all her fans would want the show presented in the best possible manner.

I agree with you Twitchell. But the sad fact remains: It is about that all mighty advertising dollar. No one at the corporate level is really that concerned about the Bewitched legacy. That is why I am constantly promoting the sale of DVDs. That to me is the only way our beloved show's legacy will survive.

They do it with everything. I just watched an "Everybody Loves Raymond" episode on TBS and they cut out an entire scence which was sad because I remember beinga funny scene. There has to be 10 commercials per commercial break and then when the show ends, you get that tiny box at the bottom for credits that go by so fast you cannot even read if you wanted to do so. Sad how TV is so corporate now and profits, profits, profits is all they worry about

I have to wonder sometimes, is it worth it to even air these programs? You never get to see the whole episode uncut. It is so sad. Maybe that is why I rarely watch network programming anymore. TVland used to be my favorite network. Now I can barely watch it. It is no longer about classic television. How I long for the good ole days.

I particularly "love" the way the final scene of each show is compressed so they can show the credits at the bottom before the show has finished playing. The people doing this should have their fingers chopped off!
