I've been re-watching season seven and in my opinion it's the best of the Dick S years and one of the best seasons, although not as good as seasons 1 thru 3. I enjoy seeing Tabitha and Adam plus Darrin's character seems more used to Samantha's witchcraft... and there seems to be more afection between the two characters at times. Plus it includes the Salem episodes and the best Christmas episode, Sisters at Heart.
Good points, Tiffany! I enjoy the family feel of that season, too. I also think Serena really comes into her own in this season. And I love "Corsican Cousins," "Mother-in-Law of the Year," and "Mixed Doubles." "Witches are good! Witches are dear!"
I like season seven as well, but I do think it is the beginning of the end. Samantha And The Antique Doll is a remake of an earlier episode, and we all know about the remakes in season 8.
Season Seven is my favorite of the DS years, too, for all the reasons that have been mentioned. I honestly have watched it the most out of any of the three of DS's and maybe out of the whole series.
"I never did dig what Sammy dug about that dodo." ~ Serena
The odd thing is, outside of the Salem episodes and the Christmas episode, there really isn't much I like about season seven. I just found many of the stories uninteresting, and I guess I preferred the living room decorations of the 3rd-6th seasons.
I actually like season 6 a lot more, but I guess we all have different tastes!
Due to a comment in the other thread, I've been watching season 4. I haven't watched it in ages, but it really is a good season. I'm really enjoying it.
Speaking of Seasons...I cannot bear to watch Season 5 as Dick York's health begins to really deteriorate. I always stop at Season 4 although he was not in all of the episodes for that year either.
I know what you mean Tracey, but I actually like season five, because of how everybody pulled together to keep the show running. Just another way of looking at it I guess. Getting back to Tiffany's original post, I'm now watching season 7. I like almost all of the Salem episodes (Can't say all. The old boyfriend stalker guy is too creepy for me.) but the season is really uneven. It has some of my favorites, but there are also some real clunkers. I also really wish mixed doubles had been a two parter. There was a lot they could have explored but didn't. For example how come Tabitha couldn't tell Louise from Samantha but Endora could? We don't see Tabatha in this episode, but it sounds like she was oblivious to the whole thing. I would have loved to have seen Louse/Samantha's reaction to Tabitha performing some witchcraft. I also think it would have been better if Elizabeth had played Louise and Kasey had played Samantha. That being said it is still one of my favorite episodes of season 7.
