New AM biography coming this summer

A new biography on Agnes Moorehead is scheduled to be released in July, by Norwegian author Axel Nissen. Titled The Films of Agnes Moorehead the book is focused mostly on her work in cinema, but is supposed to include other aspects of her career and of her personal life.

Mr. Nissen is a professor of American literature at the University of Oslo, Norway.

Who knew? I knew! But I didn't know if/when the book would be published.

Mr. Nissen has written before about Miss Moorehead briefly. She has one chapter in his book Actresses of a Certain Character, also her photo is on the cover. From the overall "tone" of that chapter I received the impression that he didn't really like AM, so I'm particularly curious to see how this full volume will be presented.

I'm too fond of the springtime to wish July would come along quickly, but this will be a difficult wait!

This is fantastic, PT!! A similar book about the other work of Elizabeth Montgomery is going to be released in October by the same publisher!

I just noticed that the list price is $75!!! And it has half the pages as my book LOL

Luckily Amazon has it for $54 but still!

I know what you mean, Doc -- the price is rather high, even with the Amazon/BarnesAndNoble discounts! I'm waiting to see if there might be a Kindle edition, which should be more economical, plus would allow for searching on keywords which I appreciate with electronic media.
