Dick York Article

Hi I thought I would 'pop' as it has been a while. A couple of years ago I wrote an article on the late great Dick York called 'Dick York: A Special Magic' in Classic Images magazine and thought I would post it here just in case anybody would like to take a look at it. Best as always!

Very good article on Dick York. Unfortunately, it did not contain any photos, so I will have to give it 3 stars. For a Web site called Classic Images, they can use more of them. Ha ha

I know!! however, the article itself in magazine form had about 20 photos from my collection, and it is too bad they don't show the photos in the on-line edition. So I agree with your *** rating, Melanie.

So glad you popped back in! I really enjoyed the article--would love to see photos of his kids grown. Do they look like Dick or Joey? I also couldn't help but wonder what kind of medical treatment York would have received had he suffered that back injury today instead of 50 years ago. Just think how different his life--and BW might have been!

Hi Maurine,

I was thinking the exact same thing. If Dick York had received medical treatment for his back injury with today's medical advancements things would have been a lot different. He more than likely would have been able to resume his career and would probably have explored holistic therapies such as massage and herbs.

Yep. How awesome those would have been. Bewitched just was never the same without our beloved Dick York. The first Darrin...the only Darrin...

I've just got around to reading the article, and enjoyed it. Good job. It is fairly long for a magazine article, and I found myself wondering if in the couple of years since, Mr. Tranberg might be considering Mr. York as the subject of his next biography. . . .
