Jane Connell, R.I.P.

The Hollywood Reporter and other news outlets are reporting that Broadway actress, and memorable BEWITCHED guest actress, Jane Connell has died. She was 87.

She had a full, productive life. It looks like she is survived by her husband and two children. Rest in peace, Miss Connell.

Jane was one of my favorite guest stars. Especially in the 7th season as the high priestess Hepzibah! What an amazing performance. I love the demerits counter. She was a consummate professional, even in season 8 as Martha Washington when the 2 principals seemed to have lost interest. It was wonderful to read her obituary in the New York Times. I had no idea how renowned she was on the stage. Great actress!

I totally agree MrMortimer. Her episodes of BW were always among my favorites. RIP Miss Connell

She starred with Angela Lansbury in the Broadway version of "Mame" and with Lucille Ball in the movie. She guest-starred on other shows as well such as "Green Acres", "M*A*S*H", and "All In The Family". Such an amazing talent. R.I.P. Jane Connell.
