Richard Michaels, who was the director and had a love affair with Elizabeth Montgomery in the final years of Bewitched attended the 50th Anniversary Fan Fare event and mingled with Bill Asher's widow, Meredith Asher, along with the organizer and host of the event, Mark Simpson.

This was, I think, the butterflies-in-the-tummy moment for me, meeting these two. Ms. Asher noticed my heart necklace (mine is the non-diamond-variety!) and we talked about our necklaces. She was SO down-to-earth and sweet. RM was very nice, but a little more like Hollywood royalty to me (I don't mean that in a negative way at all). He talked about a lot with the group, but I was struck with how bitter he seemed to still be about the BW movie--how no one from the movie approached him or Bill Asher for guidance or advice, and the little cameo they did give Asher ended up on the cutting room floor."Witches are good!
