I think modern cars put a huge focus on aerodynamics, and besides that, they’re made safer for everything outside the car: other cars, pedestrians. So stock bumpers really aren’t that strong. There are options like aftermarket bumpers https://bumperstock.com/collections/2010-2018-ram-2500-3500-bumpers. For city driving I still wouldn’t really recommend it, but if you have an SUV and go off-road, why not?
