I think it still depends on the level of the business. Like, in the early stages, when the turnover is small, the team is tiny, and the owner handles almost everything personally, a basic system is enough. And you can scale to a certain level, it’ll still work. After that, you’ll need to make it more complicated and in-depth. But maybe it’s better to take care of it sooner rather than later.
