The only problem with jumping ramp to dirt ramp is if you fall short you land on the dirt. Fall short on a ramp to wooden ramp you crash or die. 400 feet is actually a redicules jump. No perceived danger. Of course, in reality it is very dangerous. The viewing public doesn't see it that way. They would rather see an 18 car jump wooden ramp to wooden ramp with a loud 4-stroke going a fast 70+ MPH. Again, "Perceived Danger". The 300+ jumps "LOOK" to easy, especially when it's done twice at on show.
