Getting back home safely yesterday. My husband wasn't feeling well and had to pull over and stop for a while a couple of times. I think he just overdid it a bit. It took us an extra hour to get home but we arrived safely. I wish I could still drive.
I wasn't too bad off from my fall (yes, AGAIN). This time my left ankle gave out and I fell from a sidewalk off the curb as a car came around a corner. Luckily he was able to swerve and brake without hitting me. I got a scraped elbow that is almost healed now and was able to get up quickly that time, maybe fear of that car. After I got up I noticed it hurt to breathe deeply. I don't know if I just bruised my ribs or cracked one but I am doing better.
My son and grandson were putting up a new wooden fence on Saturday. They were using a cement mixer to put in the posts. It was sitting a bit uneven at one point and tilted as if it was going to fall over. Not thinking, my son put out his hand to catch it on the rim. It had an augur inside that caught his fingers. He looked like he had put it in a blender. The tip of his ring finger is crushed. He will have to have surgery on it, his first appt with the ortho is tomorrow morning. The surgeon in the ER was worried that he wasn't going to have enough skin to cover the other two fingers which had the skill all peeled off but they managed to get them mostly covered where they should heal. He said that he thinks the nail beds of two fingers will regenerate nails and hopes that the other will but isn't sure if the bed was destroyed too much or not. The grateful is that it ended up better than they thought at first look that it would and so far he hasn't had to take much pain meds. I pray that he doesn't get an infection before it is all healed.
I came home to lots and lots of roses blooms and wisteria. It smells wonderful outside. Also, the white rose from my son that I thought I had lost has come up from the ground and is a little over a foot tall so it survived. It may not bloom as much this year as it did last but it is still there.
Krista's new outdoor space. It looks so peaceful. I may have to steal some ideas.
Paula's flowers in bloom. I wish I could see it because it sounds just lovely. I have 4, well, maybe only three now because one looks sad, hydrangeas and they have not bloomed in 3 years. I can't figure what is wrong with them. I don't have a green thumb that you do, Pauly.
CindyHs cabin. It sounds so delightful and peaceful there.
Gretchen's new teeth and haircut. Can't wait to see you smiling in new pictures.
Beverly is using her scooter to get around her neighborhood. Can't keep a good woman down.
Cindy has a plan for her social security.
You ladies all rock.
