Learned that one of the kids I grew up with has died. Wanted to share about Nancy by sharing what I posted to the family.
The Creekmores were a big part of my childhood. I was the youngest of their 2 girls and my sister and I. Even at 70 I enjoyed Nancy recalling when my mom brought me home from the hospital and how they would be very still and quiet when my mom let them see me. Nancy said they now had a real baby to play with instead of just dolls.
I remember when the 3 Creekmore kids and my sister and I were outside playing. Carl was giving her a (playful) hard time but I was barely 4 and thought he was hurting her so I took the blue croquet mallet and whacked him in the head....sorry, Carl.
We reconnected on FB and have been Words With Friends buddies fir a few years. I knew when she didn't play a word after 11 days that something was wrong so I came here to her page. Heart very sad.
So, Virginia, Carl, Nancy, Cookie and, even Uncle Mike all together. It was a great neighborhood and a great time to be a kid.
She loved you all so very much. I will miss her.
(FSFers) My sister, me, Nancy, her brother, Carl and her sister, Cookie.
